Ahh… Paris

by | Sep 28, 2018

There is perhaps no place alive in the imaginations of people from their experiences with food, movies or art than the capital of France — Paris. Paris evokes images of art and culture unlike any other city in the world. Paris has been home to thousands of painters, many of whom are exhibited in the most famous art museum in the world — the Louvre. Artists such as Manet, Degas, Cezanne, Rodin and Monet bring to live the luxury and beauty of one of the greatest cities in the world. Many people desire to visit Paris, but can’t find the time or the money to go. Here at Fine Art America, we can bring Paris to you every day of the week through painting and photographs.

Photographs of the City of Light

Paris is one of the most photographed cities in the world. There are so many landmarks to choose from, it is difficult to find just one landmark to begin with–who are we kidding, of course you must begin with the Eiffel Tower. Here you can find many different representations of the Eiffel Tower in photographs. Artists have chosen to represent the tower standing alone by itself ablaze in light with the background in darkness. Other artists have chosen to highlight only one feature of the tower, sometimes in many different colors. Different seasons at the Eiffel Tower, such as fall and spring, are also photographed. But there is much more to see in Paris than just photographs of the Eiffel Tower.  In addition to the Eiffel Tower, photographers have taken other pictures of the city, from Notre Dame to the Champs Elysees and the walk along the Seine River, one of the most famous rivers in Europe. The Louvre, with its crystal pyramid has also been photographed extensively. You can also find dazzling views of the city from above.

Paintings of Paris

In addition to the photographs of Paris, you can also find thousands of paintings painted of the people and the culture of Paris, as well as Parisian landmarks, here. Because of Paris’ iconic place in the art world, there are dozens of different styles you could choose from to grace your home. Some of the art displayed is in abstract form, which can make a huge impact in a room of your house. Other artists have chosen to paint in a style of the past, such as artists who paint using soft, small strokes that blend colors in an Impressionistic style. Artists have also chosen to portray Paris using a realist or even a surrealistic view, as artists in Paris have done before them. Whichever particular style of art is your favorite, you are sure to find something you love here.

Whether you are a true lover of all things Parisian, or just an admirer of the sheer volume of work done by French artists in the last 1000 years, you will be able to find something you love to grace your walls from the Paris collection of art and bring a little of Paris to life in your home each day.
